With the winter months upon us, now is a great time to get familiar with all of the activities Avon Lake’s indoor recreation facility has to offer.
- With 2 full courts, The Anchor offers both half-court and full-court rentals. This is ideal for travel team practices, pick-up league practice, batting practice, or even just for a fun game of basketball with friends.
- Open gym begins November and lasts through January, Monday evenings from 5-9pm.
- Pickleball courts are open Wednesdays & Thursdays 9am-1pm October through May. Drop in and get a few games in with friends!
- ‘Squeaky Sneakers’ open gym for children 18 months to 5 years, Mondays & Fridays 9am-12pm. An assortment of balls, blocks, mats, parachutes, and more are available to get your little one out and active during the cold days.
- The Anchor is available for birthday parties which includes court time and your choice of activity: dodgeball, wiffle ball, kickball, baseball, volleyball, pickleball and batting cages. Also available is the Squeaky Sneakers pre-school equipment. Your reservation includes an hour and 45 minutes of fun in the gym!
